The Healing Properties of Reiki and Angel Harp
On March 15th 2010, the Integrative Healing Forum (IHF) presented another of its free programs. Angel harp therapist and Reiki Master Brigette Bray and fellow therapist Suzanne Cook, delighted the audience with the healing and mystical sounds of the Angel Harp. At the usual time of 6:45, people started entering the Unitarian church, having snacks and co-mingling with the practitioners. At 7:00 pm all entered the sanctuary.
After an explanation of Reiki and its well known benefits, both harpists had the audience go into a peaceful place while they performed an improvisational piece for thirty minutes.
There was total and peaceful silence as the harmonious tones floated over the sanctuary. Following the demonstration the audience discussed its physical and psychological effects, with one participant experiencing seeing colors and another stating her restricted and painful neck completely subsided. An interesting night for all.
The Angel Harp works on the theory of vibrational resonances and entrainment, ie., each and every cell in the body has a particular frequency that it normally functions at, and outside similar frequencies will cause the cell to vibrate in that spectrum and spread to adjacent cells, then to muscles, tendons, organs etc. For further reading see Vibrational Medicine by Gerger. For Angel Harp music CD's, Suzanne Cook's, "Traveling the Inner Road," at Visions and Dreams and Pomegranate Books.
Bridgette is a life-long student of natural health. Her quest to understand healing has led her through many powerful and challenging life experiences. The results, to date, have taught her that achieving true healing involves not only the physical body, but the emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies, as well. Her Reiki sessions bring deep relaxation and the Angel Harp, which is played on the body, brings the angelic vibration to every cell in the body. Bridgette’s reiki and angel harp sessions provide a very restful and balancing experience.

EARTHSAVE...Another successful Meeting & Lecture
Pat with Stephanie Davis
Everyone involved in alternative pathways and wellness in Wilmington, knows the fine work and dedication that Pat Delair has devoted to our community, creating more awareness in our society about organic foods and healthy eating.
Pre-dinner discussions.., Gerald DeVito, Warren Smith and Tricia Miller
Everyone involved in alternative pathways and wellness in Wilmington, knows the fine work and dedication that Pat Delair has devoted to our community, creating more awareness in our society about organic foods and healthy eating.
This past Wednesday, a like-minded group, experienced another EarthSave meeting, along with a pot luck dinner, consisting of vegan, vegetarian or raw dishes at their downtown office, at 411 Chestnut Street. Sumptuous salads, homemade breads, legumes and quinoa, were just part of the delicacies brought and enjoyed by all participants.
Too many choices...
Pot luck, and plenty of it...
Francine DeCoursey, a local film producer, proposing the "fiesta"...
As most are aware, Pat is undergoing chemotherapy and was unable to attend the EarthSave meeting last month. Due to the enormous out of pocket expense ($16,000 in January), friends and supporters will be having a "Fiesta" on March 28th at the old Water Street Restaurant, now "Mixto Contemporary Latin Restaurant", from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Besides the party, memberships to EarthSave are encouraged, to ensure its continuation in the Wilmington area.
Presently, Pat is currently funding the extra memberships to maintain its presence at EarthSave.
Pat Delair is part of the Steering Committee of the Integrative Healing Forum of Wilmington, a group dedicated to alternative healing and its offshoots. The IHF supports Pat with her EarthSave endeavors and her present illness.
Ancient art of eating and listening at the same time...
Can still taste the flavors, the day after...
Plates just aren't big enough...
And more discussions...
After dinner we enjoyed a lecture from Margaret Shelton, owner and operator of Shelton Herb Farm (if you haven't been out to the farm, you are missing a real treat!)
Margaret shared information on planting micro greens. Super nutritious and delicious, micro greens are a great addition to any meal
She also brought along lettuce bowls, which is a great way to grow lettuces in very little space without the muss and fuss of being out in the garden in the winter.
Attentive and gastronomically satisfied audience...
We learned that if we get a freeze, just cover them or bring them inside overnight
So this last Wednesday we enjoyed a great meal and a great demonstration.
Come join us monthly for stimulating and organically educating lectures and palate surprising cuisine!
